A Relief Effort for Children of Katrina "Kids Helping Kids" Thank You! 10,350 Backpacks Collected !
Thank you for supporting Project Backpack www.projectbackpack.org. We collected an amazing 10,350 backpacks from Greater Washington DC area children to be delivered to the children of Katrina. This was phase I. We could not have done this without the help and support of many kind and generous people. Thank you for making the Kantor family's vision a reality for the children.

Project Backpack has reached children in the DC Armory and children coming to Montgomery Country Public Schools. Project Backpack has been sent to children in Houston, Texas; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Meridian, Mississippi, and Little Rock, Arkansas.
